Introduction

We have tried to ensure that this site is as accessible as possible, following the WC3 WAI guidelines, the findings of the DRC’s web accessibility report, the subsequent PAS 78 Guide to Good Practice in Commissioning Accessible Websites, and many other resources.

Based on the WC3 WAI checkpoints we hope that this site complies to Priority Level 3 (AAA) accessiblity guidelines. If you do not think this is the case please let us know – any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Each of the main sections of this site can be accessed using keyboard shortcuts as follows. Support for this function differs from browser to browser, but on the whole most modern browsers support it. Hold Alt (for Windows) or Control (for Mac) and then the character. Opera users (Win and Mac) hold Shift + Escape and then the character.

Every page has a ‘skip to content’ link immediately following the search input box, which skips the site’s menus and jumps straight the the start of the content of each page.
